The largest power plant in Iran:
The Damavand Combined Cycle Power Plant, located near Tehran, is generally considered the largest power plant in Iran, with a nameplate capacity of approximately 2,868 MW. It is a critical thermal facility for the capital's electricity. Other major power plants include the Kerman Combined Cycle Power Plant (1,912 MW) and the Ramin Steam Turbine Power Plant (1,890 MW).

The conflict:
- for Israel / Iran: an existential issue;
- for the US: Trump is trying to thread the needle:
- degrade Iran's military ability to ever (ten years) threaten Israel again
- to do that, without destroying a global economy based on fossil fuel
If Israel and the US both had the same existential issue, this war would be executed very differently.
Both Netanyahu and Trump seemed to have considered the "center of gravity" was the leadership, specifically the Supreme Leader.
Netanyahu probably understood the risks of misreading the "center of gravity," but any discussion of the "center of gravity" was completely missed by Trump and Hegseth. Trump thinks and acted like a business man and to some extent like a politician.
Hegseth thought like a junior officer -- a poorly trained / inexperienced junior officer. He attained the rank of major when he separated from the US Army. He was completely "under-trained" in the "art of war." He did not even attend the Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) at Fort Leavenworth. It's unlikely he's ever read, much less studied, The Art of War, by Sun Tzu.
The fact that Trump is now threatening to take out power plants in Tehran suggests that he is finally understanding the concept of a "center of gravity," but this, too, will be wrong.
I have no idea what the IRGC's center of gravity is. And that's the problem. It's very similar to the Japanese in WWII. These individuals will literally fight until the end. Their end.
