Later, 4:16 p.m. CDT: in original note, one analyst felt that a close above 995 tomorrow was necessary to make him feel more comfortable. For the record, after hours, NVDA just went over $1,000 / share. Tomorrow: retail traders looking for $100 / share stock; YOLO, MOJO, HODL. This was the last test for the quarter.
PFE / MRNA -- in talks with the Feds over Avian flu vaccine. See my note on MRNA in original post. One can make a lot of money on a stock that goes from "terrible" to "just bad." Yeah, we're looking at you, PFE.
Original Post
Higher than expectations.
Huge day.
200% revenue growth.
243% revenue growth.
262% revenue growth, y/y.
Beat that 243% revenue grow in most recent earnings report (needs to be confirmed). Three straight quarters, beating y/y by 200% or more.
Nvidia data center revenues: up 427% year-over-year.
600% profit explosion y/y.
Shares after hours are surging. Up 4% after hours. Up $40 after hours.
The big question: will NVDA hit $1,000 before June 6, 2024?
CNBC analysts almost giddy -- well, at least one of them. LOL.
After hours:
- AMD: up 1.2% after hours;
- QCOM: up 0.53% after hours;
- AVGO: up almost 1% after hours;
- MU: up 1.2% after hours;
- TSM: up almost a percent after hours;
- SNOW: up 4.22% after hours; later, as much as 5% after hours.
- SCCO: up slightly after hours but had dropped almost 8% during the day.
- INTC: up 0.35% after hours.

Best interview on CNBC? The one with the analyst who bet against Nvida a few months ago, and still argues he was correct.
So, does he like Nvidia's competitors better? Doesn't answer; avoids the question. Says he's more interested in Nvidia's customers, rather than Nvidia itself. Says Nvidia is too volatile. Sounds as if he got burned after Covid-19. Can't wait to listen to negative replies on Fast Money. The negativity speaks volumes. A 10:1 stock split and a raise in the quarterly dividend suggests Nvidia board doesn't see things the same way this analyst sees things.
