Whiting's Rolla Federal Wells -- Update Status -- December 16, 2016

Background

Whiting Tarpon Federal and Flatland Federal wells are some very big wells. I was curious what the wells looked like in the immediate area. It turns out Whiting has drilled to depth thirteen (13) wells one mile to the east, the Whiting Rolla Federal Wells. The wells are still on confidential status but  based on production numbers have probably been fracked. I assume I could verify that at FracFocus, and I may do that later.

If I counted correctly:

• middle Bakken wells: 3
• Three Forks, first bench (B1): 4
• Three Forks, second bench (B2): 6

I will come back and sort this out later, but I think there is enough here to give folks an idea of the size of these Whiting Rolla Federal wells and where they are located.

Note: I labeled the Whiting Tarpon Federal wells below but failed to label the Whiting Flatland Federal wells in the screenshots below, but at the link above you can find graphics that show the relationship of the Tarpon wells to the Flatland wells.
