Permit stats: As of today, there have been 503 permits issued for calendar year 2013; that puts the state on track for 2,515 permits for the year. At this time last year (2012), the state had issued 388 permits which put the state on track for issuing 1,940 permits in 2012. In fact, the state issued 2,251 permits in calendar year 2012, of which 30 or so were ultimately canceled.
