Bruce, do you have any idea how to find out where a "zone" is located within a established field? A handful of the hearing dockets say something like zones I,II, IV and so on.

I've just gone through the entire January dockets, summarizing them to get an idea of what is going on, but I don't know where the zones are located within a field. But I noticed the same thing you did: lots of zones. My gut impression is that this is now important as operators are filling in their sections within a township or a field.

ReplyDeleteHundreds of times. If you go to the sidebar at the right, scroll down to "formations," and click on "Red River" you will see links to discussion regarding Red River Formation and horizontal drilling.
ReplyDeleteSpecifically, go to Cedar Hills on the GIS map server and you will see hundreds (?) of horizontal wells targeting the Red River formation.
