Most inefficient "sector" in the United States -- possibly even more inefficient than the US government: health care, beginning with "access" and ending with "billing and insurance."
Next big thing: AI intersects with healthcare sector.
Next time you begin the process -- beginning with accessing medical care -- track through the entire process, all the way to the point of discharge (inpatient or outpatient) to include billing and insurance, and see how many times AI would have been a no-brainer.
We'll follow AI and the health sector at this page.

RN-AI HCP
RN-AI HCP: All those laid-off software coders, where can they go? Become RN-AI health care providers. Skill set:
- "people-persons" (eliminates about 80% of software coders / engineers);
- must be able to obtain registered nursing (RN) degree/equivalent in two years;
- gift of gab, compassion, empathy;
- don't faint with sight of blood.
Health care:
- ER:
- check-in: RN-AI HCP.
- no language barrier
- on the gurney: eval, observation, diagnosis, alerts.
- ER to in-patient unit: robotic, no touch transportation -- this is a no-brainer
- in-patient units to diagnostic centers (radiology): also robotic, no-touch transportation, another no-brainer
- hallway-RNs: to monitor robotic transportation
- intermodal: take lessons from transportation trucks to trains to ocean-going transportation --
- all radiology scanners: both options seamless -- ambulatory / gurney
- this moving from gurney to "table" is ridiculous
