Beautiful, beautiful weather in north Texas today.

• quick bike ride this morning to Starbucks; cannot believe how nice this weather is;
• then a shsort car ride to Trophy Club for soccer with Sophia
• I'll be off the net most of the day
  

Trophy Club: one of only four towns in Texas that exceed 10,000 in population.

the other three are also in the DFW area -- master-planned; very, very wealthy; very interesting; the two best brunch restaurants in Texas are in Addison and Colleyville (right across the street from us) -- family owned; Asian, from California; taking business away from First Watch, also down the street. Brunch District has a very, very interesting "business model" -- more on that later, perhaps. Too busy now ... but wanted to get the date-time stamp

• nice race last night -- the "junior" series
• the varsity tonight -- late evening; Bristol
• on our cross-country trip we drove right by Bristol
• DFW - Nashville - Knoxville - Bristol - Gettsyburg - Pennsylvania
• what a great country

That cross-country trip -- DFW t0 Philadelphia and back -- quite a trip -- in FIVE DAYS in a Toyota 4Ruuner

• one birthday party -- purpose of the trip
  
• two museums, including "Whistler's Mother"
  
• Amish country
• two Buc-ee's
• two Civil War sites (Gettsyburg, PA and Shilo, TN)
