Comment: I don't recall seeing so many positive stories on Apple / AAPL in a long, long time.

Components of S&P 500: link here.

Buy. The Motley Fool.

Ultimate growth stocks right now. The Motley Fool.

  • Apple
  • Qualcomm
  • Tesla

Three reasons to buy Apple stock now, The Motley Fool:

  • Apple's gigantic installed base keeps growing;
    • unlike streaming services, Apple is not a one-trick pony;
  • Apple is introducing new services with an eye on additional revenue streams
  • sticky customer experience

AAPL:

  • June 16, 2022: traded at $130
  • August 12, 2022: closed at $172.10
    • still off its 52-week high
  • Gene Munster: $285 price target, summer, 2024

Berkshire and Apple: overpowering double buybacks

  • Both Berkshire Hathaway and Apple’s Q2 earnings releases continued to report substantial share repurchases.
  • Both continue to believe in the great value in their stocks, and both are blessed with plenty of organic cash to keep buying back their shares.
  • Moreover, the double buybacks are more overpowering for Berkshire shareholders (or investors who own Apple through Berkshire).

Another blow-out quarter? Link here.

  • the M1 and M2 chips are incredible and it's amazing Apple put the M2 in the MacBook Air
    • Chips, semiconductor: link here
    • it is impossible to overstate the dominance Apple has right now in semiconductors;
  • just in time for back-to-school: high school and college
  • best desktop/laptop option -- the MacBook Air with M1 chip (the article below and linked above is about the MacBook Air M2) -- way more than high school students and most college students need
  • but the price difference between the M1 and M2 -- only $200 -- may entice many / most;

iPhone: in addition to the M2 MacBook Air excitement, it looks like the new iPhone 14 is creating just as much excitement;

  • Apple recently told its supplies to expand production

Bundling?

Add this to the list:

Microsoft Office for iPad to support Apple Pencil's handwriting-to-text feature. Link here.
