    1. We should get a pretty idea of where we're headed by the end of this next week.

  2. Oh, you know, that's pretty much what I'm already doing:
    - our thermostat is set for 68; going to 65 would not be a problem;
    - I generally wear a pullover sweatshirt now
    - I've always been a slow driver -- 55 is fine -- except when I'm driving cross country to Flathead Lake or out to California
    - the supply chain shortages due to Covid back in 2020 - 2021 prepared us for more shelf shortages.

    So, for me, I'm pretty much already there.

  3. Still confused by your "glad Biden in there, not Trump" comment. During Trump's time all the bad guys (NORKS, Iran, Russia, China, etc) behaved themselves. Not so much now. Talking about another world war - the last possibly for mankind.

    1. With regard to the Russian-Ukraine war, I look forward, not to the past, except to use the past to try to explain how we got here, not to place blame or responsibility in an overtly biased way.

      What has been done, cannot be undone. It is the future in which I am interested. I said I would prefer to have "a Biden" and not "a Trump" in office now that we are where we are with regard to the Russian-Ukraine war. I'm talking about the way "a Biden" is going about managing unmanageable circumstances and the way I perceive "a Trump" would manage the same circumstances.

      Along that note, a lot of folks gave "this Biden" a lot of grief that he returned to Delaware, Friday night, the night that Putin's tanks attacked Kiev. I was among them, my knee-jerk reaction. But after thinking about it for awhile, the best thing for everyone involved was for "this Biden" to get out of Washington, DC, for awhile.

      I feel pretty comfortable with this.

    2. Hate to cut into his nap time. With Joey's advisors, we are more apt to bumble into a full on war. Grownups are NOT running the show.
