The WSJ needs a different routing app LOL I knew the Santa Fe to Denver mileage was way off and Google says the other 3 are off as well. Just something an oldtrucker notices.
ReplyDeleteThey did not take the direct route. They took a scenic route. The Colorado trip, via Naturita, CO is measured at 692 miles according to Google, almost exactly the 700 miles quoted in the article.
DeleteCheck out the very circuitous route, which included "backtracking," on the California trip. They could have added another hundred miles or so had they visited the "Hearts Castle" at San Simeon.
