To Follow Up -- Recompletion -- Billings County -- Foundation Energy Management -- November 21, 2021

Foundation Energy Management has been active in North Dakota since 1990. Link here.

Because of "the way" information is updated over at NDIC it's unlikely we will ever hear about the results of these wells, if in fact, they are re-completed. I will put them on my list of "things to follow up."

From the December, 2021, NDIC hearing dockets. These are cases, not permits.

  • 29119, Foundation Energy Management, LLC, Bicentennial-Bakken, to authorize the recompletion and production of one vertical well in a 160-acre unit, SE/4 section 28-144-103; Golden Valley; most likely #14976, or #15091;
  • 29120, Foundatin Energy Management, LLC, Beaver Creek-Bakken, recompletion and production of one existing vertical well in a 160-acre spacing unit SE4 section 1-142-103, Golden Valley; most likely, #15428;
  • 29121, Foundation Energy Management, LLC, Beaver Creek-Bakken, recompletion and production of one existing vertical well in a 160-acre spacing unit NW4 section 6-142-102, Billings County; most likely #11698 or #14953.

By the way, there's a bit of activity in this immediate area. Some wells on confidential list in this area. These three pads are all within a couple of miles of each other, all in Beaver Creek oil field3:

Three well pad:

  • 30661, conf, NP Resources, 9210 Beaver Creek 631-3H, Beaver Creek,
  • 30662, conf, NP Resources, 9210 Beaver Creek 631-1H, Beaver Creek,
  • 30663, conf, NP Resources, 9210 Beaver Creek 631-2H, Beaver Creek,

Three well pad:

  • 30794, conf, NP Resources, 9210 Barkland 112-2H, Beaver Creek,
  • 30793, conf, NP Resources, 9210 Barkland 112-1H, Beaver Creek,
  • 30792, conf, NP Resources, 9210 Barkland 112-3H, Beaver Creek,

Three well pad:

  • 33214, conf, NP Resources, 20901 Audrey 3526 3H, Beaver Creek,

  • 33867, loc, NP Resources, 20901 Audrey 3526 2H, Beaver Creek,

I don't know if there is any significance to fact that eight of these nine wells were permitted well before the ninth one, but possibly there may be some significance.

Three of these wells look to be re-completed.

Note that these are all half-section spacing (320 acres) and a couple of them are monster wells:
