FWIW -- #3 -- October 3, 2021

So, the most computer-intensive car company exceeds forecasts; delivers record number of cars, while everyone else is complaining about supply chain shortages. Confirms exactly what I've thought all along.

And not just exceeding forecasts but "blowing past expectations." And just think, these new Tesla owners are not paying fees or taxes for gasoline or diesel which pays for the road and highways they drive. And apparently "The Patriot" is against these fees for EVs.

  1. This works for Tesla becuase they're agile (like all Elon Musk companies). He prioritizes agility. So he can use 19 different kinds of chips in his cars and have a software version for each one. GM cant do that becuase GM's *people* can't handle it. ITs one of the advantages of having a car company full of software people rather than a car company full of car people (esp UAW members)

    1. Agree 1000% about agility. Don't know what GM problems are. But it will be fascinating to watch this play out.
