Interim Update Of An Old WPX Well In Squaw Creek -- A 10-Fold Jump In Production -- January 2, 2021

Note the ten-fold jump in production. Again, another example of the Bakken potential and all the work yet to be done. Note this well was drilled in 2012 and by 5/20, it's production had dropped to 800 bbls/month. Then, a 10-fold jump in production, to 7,400 bbls over 25 days in 10/20. Under Hubbert's peak theory this is not supposed to happen.

The well:

  • 21217, 686, WPX, Linseth 13-12HW, Squaw Creek, t9/12; cum 150K 11/20;

History:

  • October 29, 2020: #21217, four wells will be fracked on either side of this well; a WPX, inside the reservations;
