iPhone 12: this is simply incredible. If this is accurate, it will blow folks out of the water, as they say.

All of this is conjecture. None of this is confirmed by Apple, Inc.

Apple will host an October 6, 2020, two-hour presentation introducing the most remarkable upgrade in their iPhone line in the past several iterations.

The new iPhones will be the first to introduce 5G support:

• said to be "much faster" than 4G LTE networks;
• all models will feature 5G connectivity:

Apple will introduce four models of the Apple iPhone 12 to be variously named iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. There will be four sizes:

• 5.4 inches: iPhone 12 SE; smallest iPhone since the smallest, iPhone SE, 4.7-inch
• 6.1 inches: iPhone 12
• 6.1 inches: iPhone 12 Pro
• 6.7 inches: iPhone 12 Pro Max; the largest iPhone to date

Colors:

• Apple will introduce one new color: most likely a navy blue finish;
• if not navy blue, then look for light blue, violet, light orange;

Triple-lens cameras in two models:

• the iPhone 12 Pro
• the iPhone 12 Pro Max
  

Dual-lens cameras in two models:

• the iPhone 12 SE
• the iPhone 12
  

"Affordable":

• iPhone 12 SE
• iPhone 12
  

OLED display: all models, doing away with LCDs

Design change: all models

• a stainless-steel metal frame similar to the iPhone 4 or iPad Pro
• will give the iPhones a flat, distinctive look
• front and back glass for the body (current standard)
• sapphire or tempered glass to protect the grooves in the frame;
  

Thin:

• the iPhone 12 Pro Max will have a thickness of 7.4 mm; a bit thinner than the 8.1mm thick iPhone 11 Pro Max
  

High-end camera:

• True-Depth camera
• possibly a 3D triple-lens rear camera system using a laser to calculate depth
• similar to the LIDAR Scanner in the iPad Pro
  

Chips:

• the Apple-designed 5-nanometer A14 chip manufactured by TSMC;
  

In the box (or what won't be in the box):

• no power adapter; no EarPods
• could offer a new 20W power adapter to be purchased separately
• a voucher will be included in the box, but not the power adapter
• likewise, a voucher for wireless EarPods
