• last Thursday, EBR (ethanol-by-rail) derailed in Iowa
• mile-long, 100-unit rail cars -- "rolling pipelines"
• ethanol transporters using cars deemed too unsafe to carry crude oil
• yet, ethanol is more explosive than oil
