Quick: what are the clues that this train was not carrying Bakken crude oil? Answers:

• this derailment occurred in western Canada
• there was no fire
• there was no explosion
• Brian Williams was not on scene

But most importantly, Bakken crude oil is generally not carried in covered hopper cars.
