CLR's Better Wells In The Brooklyn Oil Field -- November 22, 2014

Regular readers will note this is not the typical Brooklyn oil field well.
  • 23020, 922, CLR, Sacramento 2-10H, 30 stages; 3.5 million lbs sand and ceramic, t1/14; cum 103K 9/14;
It was tested earlier this year, and in less than a year, this well has produced in excess of 100,000 bbls of crude oil. This is a huge well for the Brooklyn oil field. It's one of the older permits, but it wasn't drilled until this year. I assumed it was using new completion techniques CLR recently spoke about but the number of stages and amount of proppant is not particularly remarkable.
  • Spud rig: July 28, 2013
  • Drilling rig: September 28 - October 14, 2014 (about 16 days)
  • Max background gas: about 1,150 units
  • Almost 80% of the lateral well bore was in the Middle Bakken
The Brooklyn oil field is tracked here; it has been updated.
