This is the forecast for 3:00 p.m. this Sunday -- the middle of the afternoon when it would generally be the warmest all day:
I came back to the Bakken this time for three reasons:
- I had to thank my dad personally -- how generous he has been
- see the changes in the area due to oil and gas
- experience a few days of the winter I remember growing up; someday, global warming will mean the end of all this; and I am getting my wish -- it's going to be really, really cold this weekend; it is currently -14 degrees outside where I am (Williston); the overnight low will be -20.
Please greet your Dad and family for me, I had good intentions of stopping to visit when I was there for my class reunion, but time really got away from me. I was lucky enough to spend some time with Katheryn, Eric Furuseth and I were invited to her home after the reunion. What a beautiful home Craig had built. Hope you have a chance to visit with Bruce. ReplyDeleteThank you. I appreciate that. I am always impressed that "old Williston" doesn't seem to change much; it's always the activity outside of town. However, the new 6-story building that will go up on south Main across from Hedderich's will change downtown remarkably.
