CNBC In Williston

I wish I had more time to write more about this video, but I am pressed for time. Maybe more later.

A reader sent this to me. I had just missed the video yesterday, so I was thrilled to get it.

There are several story lines in this short segment. Enjoy.

The interview is taking place in Williston's El Rancho sports restaurant.

  1. The show "Street Signs" has been devoting this week to energy-related stocks and activity. Co-host Brian Sullivan was in the Permian Basin of Texas on Monday and the Bakken on Wednesday. Probably 4 or 5 segments in total aired from Williston on Wednesday, with the interview you linked to being just one of them. There was also an interview with the mayor of Williston as well as a short discussion of some Bakken-related stocks to be aware of.

    1. I appreciate that, thank you. Folks can probably find the videos at CNBC with a bit of searching.

I did catch the segment on the Bakken-related stocks. The host even admitted it was a quick look and just a starting point: CLR, ONEOK, ENB, PDC, and Canadian Pacific.

He said Canadian Pacific moved the most Bakken oil; perhaps, but not out of North Dakota. That has to be BNSF, but I could be wrong. Unfortunately, one can only participate in BNSF by investing with Warren Buffett who owns the railroad.

I did not associate PDC with the Bakken. And looking at its profile in Yahoo!Finance, PDC does not operate in the Bakken.
