The North Dakota Oil Activity and Economic Development Just Won't Quit -- Now Another 123 Single Family Units Proposed for Gladstone, North Dakota

Gladstone is about 15 miles east of Dickinson, just a mile or south of the interstate.
Developers have their eyes set on building affordable housing in Gladstone, which might mean 123 lots could open for residential housing soon.
Roger Glessner with Inland Northwest Consultants, which has operated in North Dakota for about two years and is based out of Dickinson, said multi-family units could be possible as well.

  1. Interesting, the very next day the above article came out, the developer is looking at holding off and only building what is demanded. Stark county and the city of Dickinson are worried about "overbuilding" and are considering holding off any any new subdivisions until the current ones are at least 65% full. Link below:

I'm not sure this sends a very good message to developers who want to come in and spend their own money on developments. I understand Dickinson and Stark county are trying to prevent over building, but am not sure they are going about it in the right way. I would be a little leary of developing in Stark county if the officials start dictating what/when one can build.

    1. I assume Dickinson City Hall and the county commissioners share their crystal ball.
