  1. I see where CHK has a well listed as plugged or prducing, Grenze 22153 that went to active today on the NDIC sight.Any numbers available?

    1. Nothing posted at the NDIC website regarding "runs" or "production" for this well.

It comes off the confidential list December 5, 2012.

Maybe someone who is watching the pad can tell us if there are any tanks on site; if they've heard anything about this well.

If CHK puts any oil into the system, we will see some "runs" numbers before then, but based on what CHK has done in the past in the Williston Basin, I'm curious but not overly excited.

  2. i am wondering if that was supposed 21185 the 1h and not the22153 2h. i know there were tanks on site in june and i know that 2h was drilled north on a short lateral and the 1h was drilled on along lateral.

    1. To say the least, these two wells are confusing to me.

      1. The 22153 (the "2H) is indeed a short lateral. Back in May, 2012, it was on DRL status. It was targeting Mission Canyon (Madison Pool). It is now back on confidential status.

      See:

      http://www.milliondollarwayblog.com/2012/05/chesapeakes-grenz-pad-wells-22153-21885.html

#22153 is now back on the CONFIDENTIAL List.

      2. #21885 (the "1H" well) is a long lateral. It reported an IP of zero (0) on 3/16/2012. It's status is listed as "A" (active); no pump, and has produced a cumulative of one (1) barrel according to NDIC. This well targets teh Bakken?Three Forks.

      3. So, if I have this correct, it looks like the NDIC had it right. #22153 was put back on the confidential list. According to Teegue that only happens if a well is re-entered; and that would make sense. They re-entered the well, put it back on confidential list, and it will come off the confidential list in December. However, prior to coming off the confidential list, the company is reporting that it is "producing or plugged." They would not say that about #21885, because it is listed as an "A" (active) well.

Hopefully that all makes sense. And hopefully I did not make any typographical errors.
