  1. Love all the information you bring forward. It is interesting how much and how big the salt zones are in nd. That is one reason we have to use an oil base mud on the vertical section in nd also the Charles salt can be very sticky while drilling which can present issues and we have to run heavier casing up past the Charles salt.

      By the way, did you note that two of the busiest counties in North Dakota's oil patch do not have permitting requirements for sand and gravel pits? At least that's what I thought I read in the "sand and gravel" article: Williams and McKenzie counties don't have permitting requirements for sand and gravel.
