For Newbies: Most of the Monster Wells Have Been Updated
For newbies: you might enjoy looking at "monster wells" in the Williston Basin. Scroll down to "Bakken Formation" at the link. I have updated most of the Bakken wells. We are approaching one million bbls cumulative for several Bakken wells.
Yes, there are several good Stroh wells and the Martin well in the Cabernet, but they are not yet old enough to have accumulated the 400,000+ that I would set as the minimum for a monster Bakken well at this point. Over time, the bar will be raised. There may be some Bakken wells posted with cumulatives posted below 400,00 but that was early on when the Bakken was just getting started. But now, even 400,000 for the Bakken is bare minimum.
The two wells below 400,000 were there fora reason. At the time, the Tarpon was a record-setting IP. The Liberty well has 136K and is not yet reported as completed. All the rest of the wells, I believe are well over 600,000; none in the Cabernet come close (yet). They will.
