ReplyDeleteThanks for the excellent blog. I understand the the S and the T but In the XTO Cum 16K 5/12 Does it represent one month of pumping or from the time they tested it. I talked to XTO and they said the well was still not completed. I suspect they did not want to give out any info.

Yes, even though the well is not completed, not fracked, it has produced oil and that is how much oil the company has reported to the NDIC that it has produced so far. They spudded that well January, 2012, and yet to complete it, but the well has produced some oil, as noted. They produced 10,230 bbls in April, 2012 (30 days); and, 6,237 bbls in May, 2012 (31 days). Those are significant amounts of oil, so I think the well has been fracked. They are now "completing" the well. They have 30 days until after the last day of the first month in which it was completed to provide the IP. Thus, if they completed the well any time in May (even May 1st), they have until the end of June to report the IP (or July 1st for all practical purposes). At least that's how I understand it.
