Colorado-based company, Eaglesmere Williston, is developing a 10-building, 270-unit apartment complex called the "Confluence at Harvest Hills," on 15 acres in Williston's Harvest Hills subdivision, on the west side of town.It's really quite remarkable.
According to a press release: "The first apartment building section is being constructed in a stratgecally planned one-day process that involves stacking 12 factory-built sections together three stories high and connecting them side-by-side. The entire building will be completed over the coming weeks....
While the entire Harvest Hills subdivision was being prepared with streets, utilities, etc., the houses, and the apartment complex, were being fabricated off-site, probably in Colorado, and then trucked in as modular units. This was not a trivial endeavor.

ReplyDeleteThe houses so far are "stick built" and are some very nice looking houses. But with so many lots (all sold) but sitting empty, I'm sure many will be trucked in like they are doing over in the Granite Peak subdivsion.
The modular homes I have to say look very very nice (love that 30's-40's bungalo style look) and I can't tell the dfference between modular and stick built. Many in the Granite Peak are stick built mixed in with modular, so probably depends on the contractor or developer of certain lots that were probably purchased from Granite Peak.
Thank you for the update. Yes, I bet it looks a lot like the video I took of Granite Peak as the subdivision was filling in. I noticed the same thing. I was amazed how fast they could up houses. And yes, many of them had "Sold" signs out front, but sitting empty. Some could be waiting for summer when kids will complete the school year wherever they are now and then move to Williston over the summer months.
