Didn't realize they had that many wells permitted. Just heard that somebody stopped by the Zent well while visiting ND and was told by some locals that it is pumping 500 barrels per day. He indicated that they may not be mega wells, but are still going to make some folks happy.
Could you by any chance post a stand alone update on these stark county wells when they come off the confidential list?? Should be interesting beings this is new territory on the southern edge.
I am as curious as you how these wells turn out. I will definitely post a stand-alone update or give the posting a heading that won't be missed. They won't come off the confidential list all at one time. But, yes, I am as curious as you are how these wells turn out (and what formation CHK targets).
I heard the same about a well south of Dickinson. Lots of water at first and then oil started at 500 bopd. Just a rumor, but two people heard the same rumor. Looking forward to seeing the production report.
They have completed in the Proghorn sand just below the lower Bakken. 500 bbls is a very good number. They will be busy when they get their lawsuit settled in Stark County over mineral leases (thousands of acres involved) and get their money in order, JV partner etc.

DeleteFrac Focus indicates 2 of Chesapeake wells were fracked, but list them as gas wells instead of oil. Not sure how accurate their information is.

DeleteThere's always a lot of water at first; "all" the fracking water is regurgitated. That's true for all fracked wells, not just Chesapeake.
