Chris alerted me to this National Geographic article on the current state of oil production in the US due to the Bakken and similar shales. Nothing new for regular readers of this blog.

The article could of spent less time downplaying the potential of the shale oil revelation. They pretty much advocate a strong focus on renewable energy and think our country will never become energy secure with fossil sources and the current increase production is just temporary.
ReplyDeleteWe will continue the decline in fossil production, the current uptick will soon fade. I didn't see anything about an "all of the above" for solving the energy needs for our country.
I wouldn't call the article unbiased even though it is the National Geographic. I'm not that impressed.
