It's a PDF from the NOG corporate website. When you get there, zoom in on the map, so you can see individual wells. I don't know about you, but it absolutely blows me away to see all these wells. One gets the same picture from the NDIC GIS map server, but somehow this PDF gives you an even better WOW factor.

Does everone truly believe that Chesapeake Energy leased up close to 500,000 acres and is not going to come back and ramp up with at least 30 rigs running south of Dickinson in the very near future? Eveyone needs to think logically and see the light on what they are actully doing now. Its going to get crazy in this part of the play into Hettinger as well very soon. They are after the Tyler/Heath Three Forks, Lodgepole and Bakken to boot.

DeleteThey will have plenty of cash flow when they sell the properties in Permian basin and others they are selling this year. They are playing down this play because of several reasons. A large dispute over their acreage leased.
Delete500,000 acres is nothing to a company such as Chesapeake. They leased acres in Michigan for $1,000s an acre and never developed it. Look at all of the permits that were issued to Chesapeake in Slope County years back and again, they didn't develop it.
DeleteIn the earnings call, they did say they were moving closer to Dickinson area and "cozy" up to Whiting where they would drill. My hunch is we might see a few CHK rigs around Dickinson but I would be surprised if CHK does much more that what they alluded to in the earnings conference call.
