More On That BEXP 5-Well Pad In Alger Oil Field -- The Bakken, North Dakota, USA

This is an old, old post. I’m not sure why it ended up here, today, January 14, 2024. Regardless, I updated some of the production data.

The data below can be overwhelming, but look at file #17355, BEXP's Cvancara 20 1H: 103,000 bbls as of September, 2011, and it was completed March, 2011 -- over 100,000 bbls in less than six months. Remember, it often took a Madison to produce 20 years to get to 100,000 bbls, and these Bakken wells will produce for 25 year or more. Some Madison wells have been producing for 50 years.

When I was first writing about the Alger oil field, I went through the wells in the field at that time -- it seems like a long, long time ago. Below are some of the wells in the Alger field where the BEXP 5-well pad will be located:
