First-Time Unemployment Claims Rise

Unexpectedly.

  2. You are SOOOO correct.

I am at the Williston Amtrak station as I type this (free wi-fi --- whoohooo!) .... the train is creeping slowly through high water just west of Williston.

Coming in from the east today (from Minot), I have never seen so much water in western North Dakota.

Perhaps a stand alone post. I've been on Amtrak for two days -- from Boston to Chicago (24 hours) and then Chicago to Williston (24 hours) and am now just getting caught up.

Flooding likely in Bismarck. Flooding already in southwestern North Dakota. Low roads around Williston have flooded. Amtrak just arrived. Going out to pick up my sister from Portland, OR.
