Here is my theory which lacks evidence. They are hitting reefs but no oil seems to flow. They are either in a low maturation zone or they need the added effect of the heart river fault which is near the more successful wells.
It's been very difficult to "break the code" on Lodgepole reefs.
I understand there are something like 130 dry holes over the years around Dickinson in which drillers were targeting the Lodgepole reefs. When they hit, the wells are very, very good, but very, very elusive.
I agree with "Old Oil." I was very, very excited when I first read the geologist's theory on the reefs/chimneys, but it doesn't look they are panning out.
I hope I have to eat my words; it would be great to see at least one or two of the five wells be huge wells.

I still say we have a shell game going on. It leaves the rest of us looking bad. Holding acres with no real prod. poo or get off the pot!!
