I like to read your posts for info but also for the humor content. This one is hilarious it's one idiotic statement after another. We are not importing oil because oil cos are "held back". We import oil because we consume WAY MORE than we CAN produce. Why don't you get specific.? How much could we expand production under an "all out drilling" policy? And for how long ? Your criticism is pure BS unless you can back it up with facts. And the problem yo uav is vey simple . US consumes 25% of world pet energy. ND only has 2% of Reserves. So if we double or quad our reserves (even if that is possible) we are still importing. The argument that oil cos are held back is comical. Drilling g is not allowed on coasts because no one wants a rig in their back yard or spoilng the view (I live In so cal and let me assure you that I have many conservative friends but oh no dont put a rig on our beach. You need to get a grip. Coastal drilling opposition. Is env but also high end real estate. If rigs are over the horizon, then maybe but close in will never fly. Electric cars will come before then.
