  1. Here is a Investopedia quote on on Newfield Exploration:

    Williston Basin
Newfield Exploration's other area for oil production is in the Williston Basin, where the company has 271,000 net acres. The company is currently producing 5,000 BOE per day from here, on the way to 6,500 BOE per day by the end of the year. Growth may accelerate in 2011 as the company moves to 9,000 foot laterals on Bakken wells here.

  2. Thank you for stopping by. Never worry if you think you might have wrong post to comment on. My site can be a bit confusing; too much information to keep track of. If it's really good or important, I will make it a stand-alone post later on when I have the time. Right now I am at school (substitute teaching) so I won't get back to this until later this evening.

Having said that, Newfield is one of my favorites in the Bakken; I missed it initially so I don't hold any shares in it but it certainly looks like a good one.

Good luck and again, thank you for posting.

271,000 net acres in the Bakken is a nice bit of acreage; should do very, very well.

  4. Yes, I saw that. It will be a stand-along post.

Thank you. A year or so ago, BEXP was scary -- cash flow problems -- and it has done very, very nicely.
