DNR Update -- Again, Huge IPs

In addition to much information on CO2 EOR, the latest Denbury presentation reported the results of three completed wells:

18112, 1,681, DNR, Porcupine Ridge 14-35X, Sanish

18089, 1,885, DNR, Porcupine Ridge 11X-2H, Bakken

18294, 2,532, DNR, Werre Trust 44-34H, Sanish

These wells are all in Bear Creek oil field and were completed in 2010. The Porcupine wells were short laterals with 12 frac stages; the Werre Trust well was a long lateral with 19 frac stages.

There is a lot happening in the Bakken, but we are getting so used to "big numbers" it seems no one gets excited any more. But these are huge IPs, and yes, operators/drillers are changing their methods of calculating IPs (in some cases) but they are still huge.

In addition to these completed wells, DNR has two wells waiting to be fracked

Beckhert 24-7H, a long lateral in Murphy Creek to be stimulated with 20 frac stages; and,
Swanson 31-33SWH, a short lateral in Charlson to be stimulated with 9 frac stages.

They will both be fracked before the end of April. Note the interesting designation for the Swanson well. The "S" stands for "Sanish." But I don't know what the "W" stands for: well? SW = Sanish Well?

And, in addition to all that, DNR is drilling these two wells, both Bakken:

Hanson 11-12H, Murphy Creek, long lateral, 21 frac stages planned.
Gilbertson 11-26H, Charlson, short lateral, 9 frac stages planned.

It's interesting to note that DNR is increasing the number of frac stages with each successive long lateral well.
