Off The Net -- I Will Follow Up On This Later -- July 15, 2023

Locator: 45144AAPL.

But why choose? Get both!

One is for work; the other is for play.

I promised to get back to this one. It took awhile but finally. It’s 4:00 a.m. local time; I’m laying in bed; my significant other is sound asleep; with the iPad inside a case I can block screen light from bothering her.

Computer use:
  • day time: 90% of time while I’m on the computer — I use it to blog. That’s my life;
  • night time: 90% of time while I’m on the computer — I use it to surf.
During the day, I work. I use a laptop.

During the night, I play. I use a tablet.

It took awhile to parse Nicole’s review above. What was she comparing? Finally I figured it out.

Nicole was comparing a laptop with a tablet FOR WORK. Once one understands that, the decision is easy.

If this is all about work, there is only one choice: the laptop.

For me:
  • I work during the day: the laptop;
  • I play during the night: the tablet.
To work one needs a laptop.

Nicole was using a tablet to work. That requires a keyboard and a trackpad / mouse.

[The fact she even mentions a mouse suggests she is far behind the times but she had to mention the mouse for reasons we will discuss below.]

To be continued.

Three Forks Second Bench -- MRO -- Daniel -- Antelope-Sanish

I used to track the MRO wells "by pad," but some MRO "plays" are becoming so "developed," I have to move to "MRO Plays" in some areas of the Bakken, naming the "play," as it were after one of the wells in that area that caught my attention.

Exhibit A: the Daniel Play. The wells have just been updated.
