Market And NDIC Daily Activity Reports Now Being Posted -- May 25, 2022
Gasoline demand, link here:
Russia, link here:
Deere increases its dividend by about eight percent, and coming earlier than expected, I suppose.
- That speaks volumes about the "health" of the American farmer and the regional banks that back them up. LOL.
Not to be outdone, MNRL:
One of America's biggest refiners, MPC, hit a 52-week intra-day high before dropping back just a bit. And MPC hasn't increased its dividend since February, 2020.

The Music Page
I'm in my Roy Orbison phase again. Most of what follows has been on the blog before in one form or another.
Best female singer in my lifetime: Linda Ronstadt.
Best male singer in my lifetime: Roy Orbison.
Many interviews available on YouTube: this is pretty good. "One-to-one interview, 1992."
Perhaps best music video ever: "Black and White Night."
Amazing, the singers with whom he worked or collaborated. I forgot about Jennifer Warnes, but there she is, one of the three women backup singers, "Black and White Night."
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, 1988.
Died, 1988. December 6, 1988.
"Traveling Wilburys, Vol 1" (1988) and "Mystery Girl," his last album, 1988.
Mystery Girl is the twenty-second album by American singer Roy Orbison. It was his last album to be recorded during his lifetime, as he completed the album in November, 1988, a month before his death at the age of 52, and it was released posthumously by Virgin Records on January 31, 1989.
Roy was not on the second Traveling Wilburys album.
Don Was. The last album.
Barbara Orbison. Amazing. Happenstance. Married Roy when she was 17 years old. German.
"King of Hearts." 23rd album. "Heartbreak Radio" would have been perfect for Linda Ronstadt. "Heartbreak Radio" was a Rita Coolidge album, 1981.
Wow, a flash of Disneyland flashed across my mind.
The 60's -- what a great decade for music.
Cookies And Targeted Ads -- Quite Incredible -- May 25, 2022
Updates
Later, 7:43 p.m. CT: I told this story to our "Lego-daughter." She says a Lego-friend of hers alerted her to Lego's "Starry, Starry Night" Apparently a new item from Lego. I don't know. I will have to check. But, if so, perhaps simply coincidental. But it certainly seems not to be (coincidental).
Original Post
Last night, Sophia wanted to paint Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry, Starry Night."
So, I googled the subject, found a copy of the painting, printed it, gave it to Sophia and she painted her picture.
Never gave it another thought.
This morning, in my yahoo e-mail, this popped up:
Tracking technology is a whole lot more sophisticated than folks realize. When I access the Lego page, I "accept cookies." At that point, Lego can track every site I visit. I google Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry, Starry Night" and Lego sends me a targeted ad.
I am truly, truly impressed.
Doesn't bother me a bit. If Lego wasn't tracking me, how would I ever know they had a "Starry, Starry Night" set? LOL.
I don't recall looking for a Lamborghini recently -- although I did some time ago -- and last week Lego sent me a targeted ad for their new Lamborghini model. Pretty impressive.
