Texas will always be the big competitor.

By the way, you are correct. I saw the same quote that CLR would double its rigs in Oklahoma.

If one is trying to read the tea leaves for the drilling pace in the Bakken, I think the best metric is daily permits: the number of permits issued; who is getting them; where they are drilling; etc.Bruce Oksolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10952652803684625738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1149283829854298377.post-1627866875668357672014-10-01T08:04:35.885-05:002014-10-01T08:04:35.885-05:00Probably a good time to do maintenance and repairs...Probably a good time to do maintenance and repairs getting ready for the long haul of pad drilling through the winter months.
Also I thought it was interesting to note that I think it was Harold Hamm in a press release about their new find in Oklahoma (not included in their recent presentation) noted that they had 27 rigs drilling in Oklahoma and within the next couple years they would double that number if memory serves me correct. In the world of rate of return Oklahoma compared to ND you have milder winters, more legacy infrastructure in place, a larger available work force skilled in the trades needed to support the industry, likely better market conditions to sell your product, and it used to be anyway a much more favorable tax climate. With Bakken technology being applied to mature basins all over the country is it possible we are on the verge of seeing the Bakken become less relevant?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1149283829854298377.post-83212147184053339222014-09-30T18:24:04.450-05:002014-09-30T18:24:04.450-05:00Compared to 201 three years ago, same day.
