CNBC: Tell Me Again Splits Don't Matter -- September 2, 2020

First things first: north Texas weather -- constant rain -- and some downpours -- since yesterday afternoon. Rains will continue all week. Welcomed.

Florida home sales: surge;

  • overall: up 86%
  • $600K - $999K homes: up 265%
  • over $999K homes: up 268%
  • from NY, NJ to FL
  • SALT overhang from one year ago
  • Zoom Video will be around long after Covid-19 is gone

Dow pre-market leaders: Nvidia, Brown-Forman (bourbon), AAPL.

AAPL: from this morning.

This is just from yesterday / today -- prior to last 48 hours, AAPL had already had a huge run. It continues.

  • yesterday: 4%today: 3%
  • over two days, another 7%.
  • yesterday: $5
  • today: $3.5
  • over two days: $8.5/share (post-split)
  • over two days: $34/share (pre-split)

CNBC: continued to run stories that "splits don't matter."  A lot of fake news out there. One almost gets a feeling that a lot of these "analysts" and "news readers" are frustrated, confused.
