Notes From All Over -- Early Morning Edition -- July 15, 2020

Two different headlines, same story, Goldman Sachs 2Q20 earnings:
  • WSJ: earnings flat year-over-year;
  • Fox: huge earnings beat;
Goldman Sachs, 2Q20 EPS:
  • forecast: $3.78 / share
  • actual: $6.26 / share
Dak Prescott: deadline today. YouTube, July 14, 2020, ESPN. Absolutely bizarre. Quibbling between $31 million and $35 million, and now I see a headline that the latest offer, seven hours ago, was for $33 million. I'll bet he ... gotta run ...

NFL ... opening soon. Only problem: no plan. From The WSJ. Training camps are set to open July 28 -- it will be interesting to see how many "franchise" quarterbacks show up.

Tesla: one step closer. Tesla lands another $15 million in tax breaks to re-locate to Travis County, TX. Link here
Commissioners in Travis County, home to Austin and the possible next Tesla factory, approved Tuesday property tax breaks worth at least $14.7 million — and potentially more — over 10 years. The incentives are on top of $46.6 million in property tax abatement that the Del Valle School District Board approved earlier this month
