Wells coming off confidential list Tuesday:
  • 29752, 233, SHD, Avalanche 36-17-TF2, Clarks Creek, t12/15; cum 3K 1/16;
  • 30257, 2,110, XTO, Tobacco Garden 11X-17B, Tobacco Garden,
  • 30384, SI/NC, EOG, Fertile 68-0410H,
Ten (10) new permits --
  • Operators: Petro-Hunt (6), XTO (4)
  • Fields: Charlson (McKenzie), Keene (McKenzie), Siverston (McKenzie)
  • Comments: the Petro-Hunt permits are for two separate 3-well pads; it's a bit difficult to sort out exactly where the horizontals from one of the pads will go, possibly two north, one south? See second graphic below.
MRO canceled one permit, a Glenn Powell permit in Slope County. See this post, #29028.

Anschutz abandoned a producer, #28350, Jacobson 1-29-134, in Slope County. It was a Red River well that had produced almost nothing (35 bbls over four months); t1/15; cum 35 bbls;

Six (6) producing wells were completed:
  • 29261, 914, EOG, Parshall 88-3029H, Parshall, 2 sections*, t7/15; no production data,
  • 29262, 1,488, EOG, Parshall 26-3029H, Parshall, 2 sections*, t7/15; no production data,
  • 29263, 1,272, EOG, Parshall 23-3029H, Parshall, 2 sections*, t7/15; no production data,
  • 29526, 734, EOG, Parshall 90-3029H, Parshall, 2 sections*, t7/15; no production data,
  • 29603, 471, Hess, GN-Helen M-158-96-3229H-2, South Meadow, t7/15; no production data,
  • 29730, 829, Hess, EN-Weyrauch B-154-93-33031H-11, Robinson Lake, t7/15; no production data,
*All four of these wells are on 1280-acre spacing, but in fact the laterals themselves are about the typical length of a short lateral. This is in context of the recent 2Q15 earnings / conference call in which EOG spent a lot of time discussing completion techniques and optimum length of horizontal laterals. See graphic:

Back To The Petro-Hunt Permits For Two 3-Well Pads

In the graphic below, note the proximity of several Petro-Hunt multi-well pads to Petro-Hunt's monster well.

I couldn't get it all to fit in, but the 3-well pad in the far lower left corner is a conundrum. One of the wells will run into the Keene oil field. Directly south of the 3-well pad is Keene field, but this portion of Keene field is "owned" by SM Energy. That Petro-Hunt horizontal will not be running directly south of the pad. However, one section to the west (not shown in the graphic) is a 1280-acre drilling unit operated by Petro-Hunt, so it looks like the horizontal "Keene" well on that 3-well pad will swing to the west and then south. I don't know; just conjecturing on little information available.

I track #16059, a monster well on the monster well site:
  • 16059, 729, Petro-Hunt, USA 2D-3-1H, Charlson field, Three Forks, open hole, not stimulated, t10/06; cum 1.51 million 6/15; still producing 5,500 bbls/month
