Connecting the Right-To-Work Dots

A big "thank you" to Don.

USA Today reported: Indiana becomes the "rust belt's" first right-to-work state. That was reported about .. oh, one month ago, February 2, 2013, to be exact.

Quick, fast forward to today, February 28, 2013, 11:15 am: Chrysler announced huge investment in north-central Indiana.
An automaker is investing hundreds of millions and adding well more than a thousand positions at transmission and metal casting plants in Indiana.

Thursday morning, Chrysler announced it is adding 1,250 jobs to increase production of fuel-efficient transmissions in north-central Indiana. It’s also investing $374 million in area plants.
Interesting to note that the second-linked story failed to at least think about connecting the dots. In less than a month. This is not rocket science.

    1. Not this week, just today.

It is slower than usual. Only two wells came off the confidential list this morning. But the stock market is exploding on the up side, which at the moment, interests me even more.

Normally, I write the name number of stories (plus or minus) and the same mix of stories every day, but I put the non-Bakken stories in draft and bury them below the Bakken stories. And then I post them later, usually in the middle of the night.

I like to keep Bakken stories at the top, especially for newbies who visit the site only once in awhile.

If you scroll down, you will see a huge number of non-Bakken stories that I posted overnight but had been in draft for past week or so.

Generally I only have a bit of time to post, so I have to be more judicious in my mix of stories. However, today I have back-up with regard to child care (my granddaughters) so more time to post.

Again, if you read my welcome/disclaimer (and maybe you have) you will know the background and purpose of the blog. In addition, as I've said before, I'm under contract to devote not less than 10% of my posts to non-Bakken stories. On a slow Bakken news day, I can get caught up.

If you enjoy these stories, consider:

On the other hand, if you have not reviewed this post recently, you might enjoy it again:

By the way, if there's a topic you want to see covered, or updated, let me know.

I usually get some good stories from the Bakken Shale Discussion Group, but even they haven't posted anything new since yesterday.

    2. I will leave this post up for a few more minutes so folks who are interested get a chance to see it, but then I will take down the non-Bakken posts for awhile, so a Bakken story leads the blog.

I will bring these non-Bakken posts back up over the weekend.
