SeekingAlpha: Four Oil & Gas Stocks That Will Surge Past KOG in 2013

Link here to SeekingAlpha article.

The "headline" was more impressive than the article itself. The article did not impress me.
  • CVR Energy
  • Cheniere Energy
  • Inergy
  • Rosetta Resources
Disclaimer: this is not an investment site. I post these stories because it sheds light on what is going on in the Bakken.

  1. You would think the article's author would have discussed the significance of the current takeover attempt of CVR Energy by Carl Icahn. I believe Forbes published an article recently indicating it looks as though Icahn will be successful.

    1. I agree; as noted, I was not particularly impressed with the article. Too many of these guys are focused simply on the financials, and don't tell readers what's really going on with the company.

You have a great memory. Yes, it was a Forbes article, and here's the link:

Thank you for taking time to connect the dots.

    3. Yes, this is very, very interesting. The Director's Cut said the record was 209 rigs, but it was very clear some days ago that we hit 211 rigs in North Dakota.

My hunch is that 211 on the "active rigs" list includes salt water disposal wells; and Lynn Helms is only counting rigs that are drilling for oil.
