Eight (8) New Permits -- The Bakken, North Dakota, USA

Daily activity report, November 14, 2011 --

Operators: Whiting (2), CLR, Chesapeake, Renegade, Legacy, SM, GMX Resources

Fields: Ranch Coulee, Bluell, Sanish.

CLR has a wildcat in McKenzie County; Chesapeake has a wildcat in Stark; Legacy has a wildcat in Bottineau; SM Energy has a wildcat in Divide.

Whiting has two more permits in its cash cow, the Sanish.

Of four wells released from "tight hole" status, two were completed. OXY USA reported a great well:
  • 20498, 2,230, Denbury Onshore, Loomer 34-4NWH, North Tobacco Garden, Bakken
In addition, four producing wells reported IPS, including this nice one:
  • 20282, 2,671, BEXP, Williston Airport 2-11 1H, Bakken
In addition, a nice Madison well:
  • 20368, 117, Prima Exploration, Alice-Jean 33-30, Bottineau County. That's a nice IP for a Madison well
CLR reported a dry well (20182, Nyla 1-17H, McKenzie County) but quick look at the report, suggests problem while cementing the well.
